Submission Deadlines
- Submission Deadlines for all types of sessions are February 1, 2025.
Individual Papers
- Individuals must submit a proposal, including personal information, title, and abstract, author’s bio through an online submission system by the deadline announced by the local organizing committee.
- All co-authors must be listed.
- Any individual eligible to apply for travel grants for Global South students must complete the "Application for travel grant" form as part of the proposal submission process.
- Individuals may attach a file in .pdf or .docx format if any additional information needs to be reported.
- Submitted proposals will be reviewed and selected by the local executive committee of the Seoul Conference 2025. Accepted proposals will be grouped into a panel, and each panel will follow the basic format of the Conference (3 presenters and a chair).
- All proposals must be written in English only.
Group Panels
- A submission type where an organizer (an individual or an institution) submits a proposal of a closed panel.
- An organizer must submit a proposal for an entire panel, including titles, abstracts, and personal information and presentation information of all participants in the panel, including an organizer, through an online submission system by the deadline announced by the local organizing committee.
- Organizers may attach a file in .pdf or .docx format if any additional information needs to be reported.
- Each panel lasts 90 minutes, and follows the basic format of the Conference (3 presenters and a chair). However, modification in format, such as adding a discussant, may be applied at preference.
- The official language of the Conference is English. However, simultaneous interpretation from Korean to English may be included with the interpretation fees covered by the coordinator. However, all proposals must be written in English only.
Alternative Sessions
- A submission type where an organizer (an individual or an institution) submits a proposal of an alternative event, such as book talks, film talks, and thematic workshops.
- An organizer must submit a proposal for an entire event, including a title, a brief summary, number of participants and their roles, and general outline of the event, through an online submission system by the deadline announced by the local organizing committee.
- An organizer must submit a separate file in .pdf or .docx format, which contains a detailed information about the program and a tentative 90-minute timetable.
- All participants with roles, including an organizer but not including general attendees, must be listed.
- All information must be written in English.
- An event lasts 90 minutes at maximum. If an organizer desires to use more than 90 minutes for the event, a separate inquiry must be made to the Secretariat at iars.seoul.2025@gmail.com prior to the submission of proposal.
