    Will I receive a certificate for participating in IARS Seoul 2025?
    Yes. Certificates can be issued to participants upon request at iars.seoul.2025@gmail.com to those who fulfilled their roles, such as authors (presenters), co-authors, chairs, or discussants. Certificates and participation letters in PDF format will be available after July 21, 2025.
    Will I receive my registration invoice or receipt?

    After completing your registration, documents, including Invoice, Receipt, and Invitation Letter, in PDF format can be issued upon request at iars.seoul.2025@gmail.com.

    Do I have to be an IARS member to participate in IARS Seoul 2025?

    Yes, and No. General attendees may not join as an IARS member to join the Conference. However, participants with roles, such as author, chair, or discussant, must be IARS members in 2025 to register for IARS Seoul 2025. You can become a member during the registration process through the website’s online registration system. 

    Do I have to be an IARS member to submit proposals for IARS 2025 Seoul Conference?

    No. Membership is not required for submitting a panel or paper proposal, but an attendee must join as an IARS member to participate as an author, chair, or discussant. You can become a member during the registration process through the website’s online registration system. 

    How can I create an online account for IARS 2025 Seoul Conference?
    You will be required to create a temporary account for proposal submission or conference registration. This account will only be used to access the website’s online system, and all information will be discarded after the end of the Conference. This temporary account is individual basis, so all individuals desiring to attend the Conference should create accounts through the online registration system. For any login issues, contact iars.seoul.2025@gmail.com.
    When will I be notified about the acceptance of my proposal?

    Notifications for paper, panel, or alternative proposal acceptance will be sent via email on February 15, 2025.

    When will I know the schedule of my presentation?
    The IARS Seoul Conference 2025 will take place from July 14 to 18, 2025. A preliminary schedule of panels and sessions will be available in June 2025, and updates will be sent by email as the event approaches.
    What is the format for panels?
    Each panel lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes and typically includes 3 paper presentations. Each paper presentation should be between 10 and 15 minutes. Panels also require a chair, but discussants are options for group panel proposals.
    Is there a limit on appearances in different roles?
    Yes. Each participant may present up to 2 papers in the Conference and may take different roles as author (presenter), co-author, chair, and discussant. However, individuals may appear up to 3 times in the program, with roles spread across different categories.
    How many papers can I present?

    Each participant can present up to two papers as a main author. Your presence as a co-author does not have a limit, but the same individual cannot make presentations more than two times at the Conference.

    Can I volunteer to serve as a chair on a panel?

    Yes. During registration, indicate your interest in serving as a chair on a panel, or write an email upon your will at iars.seoul.2025@gmail.com.

    How can I submit a proposal?
    Proposals for papers, panels, or alternative materials should be submitted through the online system by the deadline announced by the local organizing committee.
    Can students submit a proposal?
    Yes, students are welcome to submit panel or paper proposals. Students can also act as panel organizers or serve as chairs or discussants on a panel.
    Is there a deadline to register for IARS Seoul 2025?
    Yes, participants with roles in the program (authors, chairs, discussants) must complete registration by April 5, 2025. Those who do not register by this date will be withdrawn from the program.
    What is included in the registration fee?
    Registration fees provide full access to the four-day IARS Seoul 2025 program. Fee levels vary based on the type of employment, with reduced rates available for part-time jobs and students with no regular income.
    What is the refund policy?
    Cancellations made by April 10, 2025, will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee.
    Cancellations received on or after April 11, 2025, and no-shows will not be refunded. Membership fees, however, are non-refundable and non-transferable. Send cancellation notices to iars.seoul.2025@gmail.com.
    Are there funding opportunities for attendees?

    IARS offers a limited number of travel grants to help with travel expenses for Global South students to attend IARS Seoul 2025. To apply for travel grants, fill out the optional form to request consideration through the online proposal submission system.
